Chicken House
A plain little Cambridge spot where crunchy chicken, dumplings and generous Taiwanese plates arrive fast at fair prices.

Chinese · Cambridge
A long menu can be daunting with a toddler on your knee, but the team here are good at steering you through it, and going early on a Saturday tends to mean a table straight away and food arriving fast. The roast pork and duck get the most praise — juicy rather than stringy — and the char siu is the thing regulars order every visit. High chairs, a kids' menu and buggy access are all sorted. Two honest notes: portions are on the modest side for the price, and there's a 10% service charge added to the bill. Dishes also come out as they're cooked, so one child may be finishing while another is still waiting — worth warning the impatient one. Some found flavours milder than expected, so ask if you want a bit more punch.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
