Don't judge this one from the doorway — the frontage and the plain, fairly spartan interior undersell what comes out of the kitchen. It's a small room with limited seating, so it suits a quick lunch with a buggy folded rather than a long, sprawling meal, and high chairs and a kids' menu are there when you need them. The crunchy chicken and popcorn chicken are the draws for children ("I like this more than KFC", one visitor reckoned), while the Taiwanese side of the menu — salt and pepper tofu, dumplings, noodle soups, a chicken curry described as huge — keeps grown-ups happy. Portions are generous and prices genuinely fair for Cambridge. Food usually arrives fast and hot, and the team can be exceptionally accommodating, though service at the till is a little hit-and-miss.
