The House: Authentic Thai Restaurant
A relaxed Cambridge spot for authentic Thai food, with vegan options on the menu and a solid 4.2 rating from diners.

Tucked round the corner on Regent Street, this is a small Taiwanese fried chicken spot — genuinely small, so a pram is a squeeze and you may be eating elbow-to-elbow at busy times. Worth knowing before you walk over with a buggy. What makes it worth the wedge is the food: everything is fried fresh to order, portions are enormous for the price, and there's a wall of seasonings (salt and pepper, plum, spicy, tangy) so fussier children can have theirs plain. Crispy chicken breast, popcorn chicken and chips, lotus root and bubble tea all get raved about, and it's halal. There's a kids' menu and high chairs, plus a clean, roomy toilet — rarer than it should be. Service is usually warm, though the music can veer oddly melancholy. One family travels an hour just to come back.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
