There's a proper buzz here, especially on Forest match days when the outdoor area with its big screens and marquee fills up — worth knowing if you want a calm meal, since it does get loud and packed around kickoff. Otherwise it's roomy and easygoing, with free parking, buggy access, high chairs and a kids' menu, and staff who greet you at the door and get food out quickly. The roast dinners draw real praise (crisp, well-seasoned potatoes, plenty of gravy, a veggie sausage or nut roast option, and a £10 Monday deal), and the Jamaican mutton curry and fish and chips get singled out too. Beer comes from the on-site brewery. One caveat: opinions on the pies split, with one visitor finding them under-seasoned. Dogs are welcome, and there's a small bar across the road.
