Trent Navigation Inn
Roomy Nottingham pub with kids' menu, high chairs, free parking and big-screen outdoor seating — buzzing on Forest match days.

Pub · Nottingham
Set in a handsome old building by the water, this is roomier than it first looks — seating areas keep appearing in nooks and corners, so there's usually somewhere to park a pram without blocking anyone. Sunday lunch is the thing to come for: roasts that look pricey on the menu but arrive genuinely huge, including a three-meat plate and a proper vegetarian version, plus vegan choices and a kids' menu. Staff are warm and unhurried, there's outdoor seating and free parking, and high chairs are on hand. Worth knowing: it's popular, so book ahead for weekend lunch, and the upstairs rooms are often given over to weddings. It's also very dog-friendly, with treats and a water bowl at the door. One regular calls it "easily my favourite" pub in the city.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
