The staff are genuinely warm, happy to talk you through the menu and checking back mid-meal, and there's a kids' menu, high chairs and free parking, which spares you the Bristol circling. It is on the small side and gets crowded, so book ahead if you're bringing a pram — Sunday tables are the hardest to get. Food can be slow when it's busy; one family waited 45 minutes, so get something in front of the children early. Outdoor seating is a useful escape when the piano and the rugby crowd get going. Regulars call the Sunday lunch "absolutely delicious", year after year.
