Sunday roasts are the thing here: enormous portions with every side included, no extra charge for sauces or more gravy, and the staff stay patient and friendly even when it's full. Book for Sundays — it fills. Inside there's a log fire, a kids' menu and high chairs, and drinks are genuinely cheap (an elderflower cider slushie and a lime soda came to £4). Roasts are the safe order; one parent found the sausages and chips a real letdown, so steer clear of those.
