Starlings
An easygoing ££ Bristol restaurant with high chairs, outdoor seating and vegan options — rated 4.8 by nearly 400 happy diners.

Pub · Bristol
A proper local pub with a beer garden that genuinely earns its keep — covered and warm through winter, a sun-trap by summer, with heat lamps and a TV, and enough tables that you can usually get one without a battle. High chairs and a kids' menu are in place, and there's no dedicated baby change, though families have been quietly offered a private space to sort a nappy rather than being sent away. Sunday roasts are the draw and portions run generous, with the gravy, cauliflower cheese and vegan roast all singled out — though roasts can be inconsistent, so it's worth going in with an open mind. Service is young, chilled and unusually accommodating. It gets busier on Sunday evenings when the quiz runs. One parent calls it "my proper friendly local".

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
