Sunday roasts are the draw and portions run generous, with the gravy, cauliflower cheese and vegan roast all singled out — though roasts can be inconsistent, so it's worth going in with an open mind. Service is young, chilled and unusually accommodating. It gets busier on Sunday evenings when the quiz runs. One parent calls it "my proper friendly local".
