About The Font

An old converted church down a narrow lane, so it's far bigger inside than the outside suggests — original curved seating faces what's now a stage and big screen, and there's an upper deck, plus long bench tables that swallow a pram and a pushed-together family group easily. High chairs and a kids' menu are there, and buggy access is straightforward. Prices are gentle for Brighton, and the breakfast is the thing to come for — the portions are enormous, with families raving about the full English. Staff are warm with children and dogs alike. Two honest snags: the music gets genuinely loud by early evening, hard-to-talk-over loud, and the loos have been hit and miss. Come at breakfast or lunchtime and it's a roomy, easy, cheap stop; by night it belongs to the students.
