Sitting out on the waterfront with the harbour in view is the main draw here, and on a sunny day it's genuinely lovely — pram-friendly, plenty of outside tables, and free parking nearby. Breakfasts are the thing to order; they come out large, quickly, and children's portions get demolished. The prawn Marie Rose baguette arrives with a generous salad, and the chips, cheese and beans from the lite bites menu is enormous. There are cakes at the till that are hard to walk past. Staff are warm and quick — one family arrived mid-nosebleed with a toddler and were looked after without fuss. Worth knowing: it gets busy and buzzy rather than quiet, service can slip when it's full, and a couple of the baguettes feel dear for what turns up.
