About Noahs Ark

A proper old-school Plymouth boozer just behind Royal Parade, this one has been feeding the city for decades and does it cheaply — full English breakfasts, fish and chips, curries and jacket potatoes at prices that surprise people, with portions bigger than you'd expect. It's far roomier inside than the frontage suggests, with plenty of seating, easy step-free access for prams and outdoor tables when the weather holds. There are high chairs and a kids' menu, and food generally arrives fast, which matters when someone's patience is running out. Staff are warm and know when to leave you to eat. Worth knowing: it's a proper pub first, so weekends bring sports crowds and Wednesday karaoke, the toilets are only average, and it's city-centre parking in nearby car parks. One parent found it "much bigger on the inside than it looks."
