Gloucester Road's Lebanese giant is a proper family room — big, buzzy and used to children, with a huge Muslim family crowd in at weekends and holidays, when it does get crowded and loud. Come off-peak if your lot need calm. Buggies get in fine, there are high chairs and a kids' menu, plus free parking, which on that stretch of Bristol is a small miracle. The sharing platters are the thing: one round-four platter fed six comfortably, and the mezze and light, fluffy breads please vegetarians and vegans as well as the grill crowd. The seabass is a generous plateful for the money, and the fresh juices go down well with children. Everything is halal, it's alcohol-free, and there's outdoor seating. Two snags: you pay up front, and a 10% service charge is added.
