A Gloucester Road spot that's built its reputation on care — spotless, cosy, and run by a couple who seem to genuinely notice who's walked in. Food comes out fast and piping hot, which matters when someone small is unravelling, and the kitchen caters happily to fussy eaters. Portions are generous and everything tastes freshly made: fluffy jacket potatoes, a falafel salad with feta that people rave about, beautifully turned-out omelettes, cake that isn't cloyingly sweet. Prices are gentle for the quality, there's a kids' menu and high chairs, and free parking spares you the Bristol circling. Outdoor seating makes it a lovely sunny brunch. It's small and does get busy — one group turned up nine-strong unannounced and the staff simply rearranged tables — so mornings are the calmer bet with a pram.
