Down near the top of Leith Walk and a short walk from the Playhouse, this is a proper sit-down Indian and Pakistani place that takes children seriously — kids' menu, high chairs, room to get a pram in, and a few outdoor tables when the weather allows. The starters are the thing to order: sharing plates arrive generously sized, and the chicken pakora, four of them with a spicy dip, gets singled out again and again. Mains are more variable — the odd curry has landed too salty or over-garlicked — so lean towards what the kitchen is known for. It's fully halal, BYOB, with vegan options, and a pre-theatre menu at around £24 a head. Fair warning: it can get genuinely loud inside, which suits a noisy toddler but not a quiet catch-up.
