TGI Fridays - Southampton Retail Park
Family-friendly American diner on the retail park with free parking, high chairs and staff who are notably good with children — though the kitchen can be slow.

Restaurant · Southampton
Set inside the Southampton store, this is a genuinely useful stop with children in tow — wide aisles between tables mean a pram isn't a problem, high chairs are there, and the self-service drinks station is easy enough that older kids can manage it. The big draw is the view: cruise ships and the docks right outside the window, which buys you a surprising amount of quiet from a bored four-year-old. There's a kids' menu with healthier options, and at the moment free baby food comes with an adult meal. Meatballs are the thing people come back for, breakfast is good value, and IKEA Family members get free tea or coffee. It gets genuinely busy on Saturdays and midday, so early evening is calmer. Tables often need clearing on request, and the coffee is weak.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
