A calm, welcoming Brighton Chinese with high chairs, a kids' menu and standout Peking duck — pricier than some, worth booking.

Vegetarian · Brighton
A veggie and vegan place that quietly wins over people who don't think they like veggie restaurants — and it's set up for families, with high chairs, buggy access and a kids' menu. Space is described as moderate rather than sprawling, so book ahead if you're a group or want room to park a pram, and be aware seating can lag a little at busy times. Portions are properly generous: one small plate is often enough, and dishes come with real protein, so children who need feeding rather than nibbling do well. The tofu starter, cauliflower wings, hasselback squash and stuffed portobello mushroom all get named again and again, and staff handle allergies carefully. It's a touch pricier than neighbours — around £32 a head with a drink — but the cooking is fresh and the room is a genuinely lovely, plant-filled spot.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
