A quiet spot just off Queen Street, which is exactly what you want when you've got a small person who finds busy places overwhelming — several parents mention how calm it usually is, and desserts land at the table fast. There are high chairs, a kids' menu, room to get a pram in, and the seating area is large enough that you're not squeezing past anyone. The chocolate side of the menu is where it shines: waffles that regulars call "light and fluffy", loaded sundaes, thick shakes and hot chocolate, with vegan and halal options too. Portions are enormous, so one between two children is plenty — worth knowing before you over-order. It's not flawless: service can slow right down when only one person is on, and the ice cream itself divides opinion.
