Creams Cafe Cardiff
Calm city-centre dessert stop with fast service, huge chocolate-heavy portions, high chairs and pram room — vegan and halal options too.

Café · Cardiff
A rare thing in a city centre: a café where the volume drops the moment you walk in, so a fractious toddler doesn't feel like a public event. Gentle music, roomy tables plus soft sofa seating, and buggy access make it easy to settle in with a pram and a hungry child. The food is vegetarian and vegan, cooked fresh and full of flavour — samosas, kachori and aloo vada come out crisp, the papdi chaat gets the most praise, and there are kofta wraps, lassi and milkshakes plus a bakery counter for anyone who only wants cake. Portions are generous and prices are gentle for the quality. The staff are volunteers and it shows in how kindly you're treated. The menu is short, though, and thali isn't always on; one parent called it "the tastiest, most chilled lunch" they'd had.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
