Three glass walls looking out over the Barbican dock mean you get a view from just about any table, and there's plenty of room inside — mismatched armchairs, sofas and tables spread across a big space, so a pram isn't a problem and nobody minds a bit of noise. High chairs and a kids' menu are there, and the staff (no uniforms, very relaxed about it all) are genuinely easy to deal with. Food tends to arrive quickly, which matters at 12.30 on a Saturday with a hungry toddler. The nasi goreng and the lounge eggs with smoked salmon get particular praise, and the chocolate brownie with sauce and ice cream is worth sharing. Vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options run right through the menu. Portions are large — one parent found breakfast "a bit too much" — and the odd cold plate has come out. Outdoor seating too, though the shade is inside on hot days.
