Crown & Anchor
A busy Barbican waterfront pub with cracking Sunday roasts, kids' menu and high chairs — book ahead at weekends.

Fish And Seafood · Plymouth
Right on the harbour, this is the kind of stop where the view does half the work — boats bobbing, apartments across the water, and enough space to park a pram without apologising. Portions come out much bigger than expected, which matters when you're splitting a plate with a small person, and the food arrives fast even at busy times. The clam chowder gets genuine rapture, the mussels too, and the fish comes fresh and lightly battered; there are decent vegan versions of the fish and chips as well. High chairs, a kids' menu and outdoor tables are all here, and it's step-free throughout. It gets loud and a bit slower when it fills up, and the toilets have had mixed reports — worth knowing before you go.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
