Cafés · Norwich
A proper village store-café where the counter is stacked with pastries, pies, cakes and sausage rolls, and the bread is fresh enough that a fish finger bap becomes an event. There's free parking and buggy access, though the parking area itself is a bit of a squeeze at busy times. High chairs and a kids' menu are there, and the team are genuinely warm with small children — one family with a three-year-old found them especially kind, and the deli counter's fresh fruit sorted a side dish on the spot. Food comes out fast and hot, which matters when patience is thin: the carrot and coriander soup, the burger and chips, breakfast baps and the big English all get real praise. Worth checking times before you set off — it closes early, around 2pm on weekdays and 1pm at weekends, with the kitchen shutting half an hour before.
