A warm little Norwich café with high chairs, outdoor seating and a glowing 4.8 rating — easy and welcoming with children in tow.

Café · Norwich
Set in what feels like an old village house, this tea room has the atmosphere of someone's cosy front room — beautifully decorated, cheerful, and the sort of place where the staff will happily squeeze you in and keep the drinks coming. There's a kids' menu and high chairs, free parking a minute's walk away, and buggy access, plus outdoor tables and heated pods that stay warm even on cold days. Food is properly made: homemade scones with a little jar of good jam and plenty of clotted cream, rarebit, big filling sandwiches, jacket potatoes, soup, and a chocolate Guinness cake people rave about. Vegan and vegetarian options are there too. Two things to know — the tables by the door feel cramped (ask for the roomier areas), and afternoon tea is worth booking ahead.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
