Hatter House Cafe - Bristol
A laid-back Bristol café with outdoor seating and vegan options — an easy choice for a relaxed family bite.

Indian · Bristol
Big, buzzy and easy to walk into with a pram — this is a proper large dining room rather than a squeeze-past-tables kind of place, which means space for the buggy and enough background hum that a grizzly toddler won't turn heads. There's a kids' menu, high chairs and plenty of vegan and vegetarian choice, so nobody's stuck with a plain naan. The vegetable pakora comes up again and again, the lamb chops and lamb five jewels get warm praise, and the naan and mocktails are worth ordering for the table. Service is polite but can feel brisk and impersonal when it's busy — one family found the welcome "no real experience, just in, eat, go" — and food can be milder than you'd expect. Sunday lunchtimes are quiet, with traditional music playing, if you want calm.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
