Dhamaka Restaurant
Flavour-packed Bristol Indian with a kids' menu, high chairs and a bargain bottomless thali — fast service, lively at weekends.

Pub · Bristol
A big, buzzy Irish bar right in the middle of Bristol, so it works better for a late lunch or an early tea than a quiet weekend evening — there's often live music and sport on the screens, and it does get loud. There's room to get a pram in, high chairs, and a kids' menu, and the space is generous enough that a family of any size isn't wedged into a corner. Food can be quick and cheerful when the kitchen's on form, but it's not consistent: some families have waited a long while for mains and been unimpressed when they arrived, so it's worth treating this as a drinks-and-a-snack stop rather than a proper meal out. The staff are usually cheerful even when it's heaving, and one group of sixteen was fed fast and happily.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
