Millers Tea Room
Reservoir-side tea room with fresh kids' pizzas, handmade gelato and twenty-odd cakes — busy at weekends, but quick and good value.

Cafés · Barnsley
A little café out at the edge of Barnsley with a country walk on the doorstep, so you can wear the children out first and eat after. Free parking outside, buggy access, high chairs and a kids' menu, plus plenty of indoor and outdoor seating — so a pram doesn't have to be a problem — and clean toilets, which matters more than it should. Service is quick and unhurried at once; one visitor arriving twenty minutes before closing was still served properly and not rushed out. Breakfasts are the draw, alongside good flat whites and mochas, and there's a decent vegetarian choice. Prices are fair, though one parent found a bacon and egg bap smaller than expected. Dogs are welcome too — they even do doggy breakfasts.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
