Food comes out as it's cooked rather than all together, which suits a hungry toddler but means the grown-ups may be eating in shifts — worth warning older children about. Ramen gets the warmest praise, fresh and full of flavour, and the katsu curry and Korean fried chicken bao come up often too; the set menu at around £12 for a main and a drink keeps a family lunch reasonable. Staff are consistently described as friendly and attentive, with recommendations offered freely. It's not faultless — some find dishes bland or arriving lukewarm, and "spicy" doesn't always mean spicy — but service and atmosphere carry it.
