Tucked just off Gloucester Road, this is a cosy Persian-and-English spot where a family group can genuinely all be fed — burgers and fish and chips alongside lamb shank, aubergine stews and rice that people go misty about. Portions are big enough that most tables leave defeated, and food arrives fast, even for a large group, which matters when someone small is unravelling. There are high chairs, a kids' menu and room to get a pram in, plus a sheltered garden with outdoor heaters for when the noise inside builds. The owners tend to talk you through the menu, and staff take extra requests in their stride. Dogs are welcome, and there's an early-evening happy hour on pints. It's a bar as much as a restaurant, so evenings get lively.
