Greek on the Docks
Waterfront Greek at Gloucester Docks with easy parking, a long vegan menu, generous portions and staff who keep busy tables moving.

Italian · Gloucester
Sitting in the Gloucester Quays dock area, this is the sort of Italian that manages proper cooking and a genuinely relaxed welcome for children at the same time. There's a kids' menu, high chairs and buggy access, plus outdoor tables if you'd rather be by the water. Portions are hearty — the calamari, the carbonara and the margherita classica come in for particular praise, along with the braised ox cheek pasta and the parmesan truffle fries. The staff take mishaps well; one diner whose fish arrived lukewarm was simply brought a whole new plate. It hums with a lively buzz even on a Sunday evening, so it's noisy rather than hushed, and a large group of women were still described as warmly looked after throughout. Vegan options are available. Worth booking, particularly for weekend tables.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
