A morning here works differently to most cafés — the space is split into eight walled-off role-play rooms (a kitchen, a shop, a little supermarket, a school), so children aged roughly 0 to 7 can wander off and explore safely while you actually sit down with your coffee. There's a baby corner with toys right beside the tables, and the bathroom is properly kitted out: potty, step, small toilet seat, stools so toddlers can wash their own hands. Staff are patient and welcoming, drinks arrive within minutes, and there's no timed slot to rush you out. Light bites and cakes are reasonably priced, and children aren't charged on top. Two snags: weekdays only, closing around 1:30, and it's worth booking on a rainy day. Park on Fore Street — £1 for three hours.
