Twenty years in Ballynahinch and some locals only just discover this one, which tells you it's more neighbourhood staple than destination. Stone walls and comfortable seating give it a proper pub-inn feel, and there's a beer garden for sunny days when you want the children outside and the noise level to sort itself out. Food is the draw: chunky chips that are genuinely fresh rather than frozen, haddock in crisp batter, honey chilli chicken that gets ordered again and again, and a Guinness and steak pie with mash. Children get chips and nuggets, and a colouring book and crayons arrived unprompted for one small guest. Service stays quick even when it's full — one family in a rush was fed and out in fifty minutes. Free parking, high chairs, buggy access, and a kids' menu. Two mains with desserts and drinks ran to around £66, so it isn't the cheapest lunch.
