The Deck House
A family-friendly Holyhead restaurant with a kids' menu, high chairs, and outdoor seating for when the sun's out.

Perched above a little bay on Anglesey, this one trades on its view — the terrace looks out over the water to the mainland mountains, and on a decent day it's worth arriving early for a table out there. Inside gets busy and moderately loud on a Friday night; outside stays calmer, which is often the better bet with children. Booking is genuinely advised, though the team seem willing to squeeze people in. Food arrives fast and generous: fish and chips, the beef and ale pie, chicken Milanese, potato and ham croquettes to share, and wood-fired pizzas in the beer garden. Ask about the smaller fish portion — it's not on the menu and saves £9. Sunday roast has a following. Kids' menu, high chairs, buggy access, free parking, and dogs get water bowls and their own ice cream.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
