Tucked just off New Street, this is a Birmingham city-centre pub that works better for a daytime stop with children than an evening one. Lunchtimes run relatively quiet — easy enough to get a table, order at the bar, and actually hear each other — and food tends to arrive fast, which matters when someone's patience is running out. There's a kids' menu, high chairs and buggy access. The breakfasts get a lot of love, particularly the sausages, and people rave about the skin-on fries, the cheeseburger and the fish finger sandwiches with chips. Staff are consistently described as friendly and quick, and one family found their order taken from the lunch menu half an hour early just to be helpful.
