Inside is reasonably spacious, so a pram isn't a battle, and there are high chairs and a kids' menu. Food arrives fast, sometimes before the tea does, and the team handle substitutions and muddled orders cheerfully. Breakfasts are the thing to order, with veggie and vegan versions in small or large plates, and pints often come in under £2.50. It gets genuinely busy, even on a Tuesday evening, and standards can slip when it's packed — uncleared tables, sticky floors upstairs. Free parking by the roundabout or down the side, if you're lucky.
