There's seating right as you walk in, and it's roomy enough early on, though weekend evenings fill up fast and it's worth booking rather than chancing it. High chairs and a kids' menu are there, plus vegan choices, and the staff check back often without hovering. Portions are generous and the prices genuinely reasonable — the Sunday roast draws real praise (proper veg, not overcooked), and the seafood pasta in lobster bisque, the calzone and the carbonara all get named again and again. Look at the back of the menu for offers. One snag: at busy times a table can feel like it's wanted back.
