Pub · Brighton
Sitting right by Preston Park, this is the kind of Brighton pub where a family birthday with three small children and eight adults works out fine — the downstairs bar can be quiet enough at Saturday lunch to let kids roam a bit, and the staff bring out crayons and paper without being asked. Buggy access, high chairs, a kids' menu and free parking take the stress out of arriving; the outdoor seating is genuinely lovely in summer. Food is a step above standard pub fare — chips that come out properly crisp, sticky toffee pudding worth saving room for, Harvey's on tap for whoever's not driving. Service can run slow when it's busy, and the wine list is steep for a local (one parent balked at £20 for a glass of Pinot Noir), so it's worth knowing before you order.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
