Food is a step above standard pub fare — chips that come out properly crisp, sticky toffee pudding worth saving room for, Harvey's on tap for whoever's not driving. Service can run slow when it's busy, and the wine list is steep for a local (one parent balked at £20 for a glass of Pinot Noir), so it's worth knowing before you order.
