DAIU Cardiff Bay
A laid-back Cardiff Bay bar with a kids' menu and high chairs, rated 4.4 from over 500 reviews — easy with little ones in tow.

Pub · Cardiff
A proper old-school Bay pub, 160-plus years in and still full of docks-era photographs and character — with a kids' menu, high chairs and a little beer garden that makes warm afternoons easy after a walk round Cardiff Bay. It's traditional rather than purpose-built for children, so expect a pint-and-conversation crowd rather than a play area, but the staff are consistently warm and the owners genuinely look after people. Prices are good, the Guinness has a reputation, and the pies get named again and again — the lamb and mint especially. Sport is on screens but discreetly, so it doesn't feel like a sports bar; music sits at a level you can talk over. Two honest snags: it packs out on rugby days and for Thursday quiz and Friday karaoke, and food is limited. Dogs welcome too.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
