DAIU Cardiff Bay
A laid-back Cardiff Bay bar with a kids' menu and high chairs, rated 4.4 from over 500 reviews — easy with little ones in tow.

Restaurant · Cardiff
Right on the waterfront in Cardiff Bay, this is the sort of French brasserie that works better with children than you'd expect — buggy access, high chairs, a kids' menu and outdoor tables for when the noise inside builds up, which it does, because the atmosphere is genuinely lively rather than hushed. Breakfast before a morning at the cinema seems to be a local habit, and the staff are patient and chatty even on a heaving Sunday. The steak and fries is cooked properly, the moules marinières and the sea bass get repeat praise, and the chocolate fondant is worth the room. Fries and non-alcoholic drinks come with free refills. It is a chain and it isn't cheap for what it is, and food between courses can be slow — but one parent says the service is "10/10", and the waterfront view earns its keep.
