Restaurant · Nottingham
Set next to a farm on the edge of Nottingham, this is one of those places where the outdoor space does the heavy lifting — a proper garden with pods, gazebos and sofas, and enough room to park a pram without apologising to anyone. On a sunny afternoon it feels almost Mediterranean, light and airy, and one Sunday visitor found it "still calm" even once it filled up. The team are attentive without hovering and will hold a table if you're running late with children in tow. Food is a mixed menu done well: crayfish starters, poke bowls with Korean chicken, truffle chips, loaded chips, and a beef rump roast with an enormous crunchy Yorkshire. There's a kids' menu, high chairs, vegan options and free parking. Worth knowing: some outdoor tables carry a booking premium, and the bill can climb faster than you expect.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
