The Bull Hellesdon
A family-friendly Norwich pub with outdoor seating and a solid 4.2 rating, easygoing and good value for a relaxed bite out.

Café · Norwich
Part of a big sports complex out at Horsford, this café sits alongside 3G football pitches and Challenge Woods, an adventure play area built around the trees — zip wires for both big and small children, a climbing wall, tree house, slide and sand pit. You book the woods online for a few pounds a head and collect wristbands at the café, so you'll be in here anyway. Parking is free and plentiful, buggy access is easy, and there are high chairs and a kids' menu, with picnic benches and shade outside. The food gets warm words from parents, though a few find some items priced high. Worth knowing: the play area can be muddy and slippery in winter, and toddlers have less to climb on than older siblings. One parent calls it "a cheap afternoon in fresh air".

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
