Parking is free and plentiful — just note the car registration at the entrance. Staff come round to check on you and are generally quick and friendly, and the menu runs long enough that fussy eaters and adults both find something; the beef and ale pie and apple crumble are solid picks, and unlimited hot drinks at £3 is a gift on a long morning. Quality does wander — the mixed grill and calamari draw grumbles — so stick to the pub classics. There are high chairs, a kids' menu and outdoor seating, and lunchtimes skew quiet and older.
