Right on Cardiff Bay, this is a big, easy-going Wetherspoons with the space that matters when you arrive with a pram and a toddler in tow — roomy enough downstairs that you're not squeezing between chairs, with a kids' menu, high chairs and free parking. The upstairs balcony bar is the real find: a proper view over the water, outdoor seating and a bit of calm when the ground floor fills up. Food comes out fast — one family ordered on the app at 6.13pm and were eating ten minutes later — and the staff are consistently described as helpful and polite even at peak times. Prices are genuinely low. Be honest about the trade-off, though: portions can be mean, some dishes arrive underwhelming, and on rugby weekends downstairs is heaving. Stick to the simple stuff and grab the balcony.
