Half proper pub, half Nepalese-Indian kitchen — you walk in through the bar, which can be loud and busy on a Saturday night, then the restaurant sits round the other side, calmer and away from the pool table and TVs. It's basic rather than smart, but roomy enough for a pram, with high chairs, a kids' menu, outdoor seating and plenty of free parking. Portions are enormous and the value is remarkable: four adults and two children came to around £120 including drinks, with leftovers to take home. The mixed grill arrives sizzling, and the momos, goat curry, pork sekuwa and king prawn noodles get the loudest praise. Staff are friendly and quick, the toilets are properly clean, and the huge menu covers non-curry eaters too. Book at weekends — it fills up with locals.
