Navarro Lounge
Roomy, relaxed Manchester café-bar with fast food, board games, a kids' menu and unusually good gluten-free and vegan choices.

Restaurant · Manchester
Tucked inside the Hyatt, this is a smarter sort of dining room — warm lighting, proper linen — that turns out to be genuinely relaxed about children. The kitchen runs pizza workshops where the chefs let kids build their own, patiently and with real enthusiasm, which has rescued more than one birthday. The children's menu goes well beyond nuggets and chips, and the staff answer children's questions rather than hurrying past them. Braised beef cheeks, salmon and short rib are what people come back for; portions arrive beautifully plated and the team know the menu well enough to steer you. High chairs, buggy access and vegan options are all sorted. Worth knowing: it's not cheap — reckon on £30 a head with a drink, plus 12% service — and the menu is fairly short, so a fussy eater may need talking round.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
