About Grand Daddys Diner

A proper little American diner tucked into Manchester, and one that suits families better than the theme might suggest — kids' menu, high chairs, free parking outside, and staff who genuinely smile at you rather than looking harried. Portions are big enough to share with a small child: the crazy cow burger and the fried chicken burger come up again and again, the onion rings are generous, and the milkshakes are thick and worth the detour. Everything's handmade and halal, and there's a wall of imported American fizzy drinks the kids will gawp at. Two honest caveats: service can be slow when it's busy, so bring something to keep little ones occupied, and the furniture is looking worn in places. Canned drinks are steep at around £2. One parent found the loaded fries underwhelming for the price.
