A big, airy dining room over the marina, with floor-to-ceiling windows wrapping most of the way round — genuinely lovely if your children like watching boats while they wait. It's a treat place rather than a weekly one: modern British, a tight à la carte, £££ prices, and cooking that most people find very good (the warm bread with taramasalata butter, the oysters, a huge, fresh, not-remotely-greasy fish and chips) though a few have paid a lot and come away underwhelmed. Staff are quick and patient, high chairs and a kids' menu are there, buggy access is fine and parking is free. Two snags worth knowing: tables can be small for a group juggling dishes, so ask for a bigger one, and it's worth booking.
