Sannio Italian Restaurant & Bar
Intimate Glasgow basement Italian with a kids' menu, high chairs and huge dough-bowl pastas — small, so book ahead.

Pub · Glasgow
Handy for a pre-theatre meal — the King's is right across the road, so book if you're eating before a show, and expect the bar to fill up fast around six. Ask for the back area if you've got little ones; it's quieter than the front and easier to park a pram. Food comes out quickly and freshly cooked, which matters when someone's hungry and wobbling, and the staff stay attentive even when it's heaving. The chicken goujons have a bit of a reputation, the burger is a solid bet, and there's usually a special worth asking about. Portions are good value at ££. High chairs, a kids' menu and outdoor seating are all there. One visitor summed the welcome up as "a wee bit of Glesga banter".

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
