Booking ahead is the sensible move here — this Repton pub fills up, and turning up on spec is close to hopeless. The car park is small and can be rammed, though there's plenty of street parking within a five-to-ten minute walk. Inside it's cosy but roomy, with several seating areas, spacious tables and easy buggy access, plus high chairs and a garden for warmer days. Staff are attentive without hovering — refilling drinks, clearing plates, chatting to the children — and allergies are handled properly, with good vegetarian and vegan choices. Food ranges well beyond standard pub fare, with a pizza oven as the reliable fallback for fussier eaters, and portions are generous enough that leftovers go home in a box. It isn't cheap — around £45 a head with drinks and puddings — and it hums at weekends, but one parent simply called it "a fabulous setting".
