Lord Stones Country Park
A hillside cafe on the Cleveland Way with free parking, quick service, lots of indoor and outdoor seating, and excellent cake.

Restaurant · Stokesley
A proper village pub that turns out to have a Thai kitchen behind the traditional front, and the combination works far better than it sounds. Families come back for years — the battered king prawns and red curry get particular praise, there's plenty of customising on the menu, and the English side is done well too. Prices are fair, staff are attentive without fussing, and the calm feel carries through even at the tail end of a busy service. Out back there's a beer garden with a small play area for little ones, so lunch can stretch out on a sunny day. High chairs, a kids' menu and step-free buggy access are all sorted. Two snags worth knowing: the car park fills up, and the kitchen stops serving sharply at 2pm — book ahead and arrive in good time.

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
