Meadow Lea Farm Coffee Shop
Farm-barn café at the end of the Greenway with a log burner, toy trucks, big breakfasts and easy free parking.

Restaurant · Chester
Tucked at the end of a cul-de-sac just outside Chester, this is the kind of pub that works when you've got children in tow — free parking round the back with plenty of space, buggy access, high chairs and a kids' menu, plus an outdoor eating area for when small people need to be somewhere they can wriggle. The staff get a lot of the credit here: chatty, patient, nothing too much trouble. Food is the draw — Sunday roasts with excellent roast potatoes and a properly good Yorkshire pudding, a huge Weetwood ale-battered cod, a steak pie regulars rave about. Portions are generous without cutting corners. The menu is on the short side, and it fills up, so book if you're coming for Sunday lunch. Vegan options are available. One visitor simply called it "a find and a half".

A little something creative for your next meal out. Filled with colouring, simple drawing prompts for cute animals, origami and conversation starters designed to bring more play, laughter and connection to the table. 3 free printable packs for toddlers, preschoolers and primary-aged children.
