The cakes and scones are the draw, baked fresh each morning and served help-yourself with proper jam and cream; the home-reared lamb and Aberdeen Angus beef, steak ciabatta and brunch plates all get real praise. Staff are warm and unhurried with families. It is pricey for what it is, and one parent who said as much still called the food "worth it".
